I Have Everything I Need To Be Everything He’s Called Me To Be

I couldn’t help but notice on my walks that God’s creation runs pretty nicely all by itself. The trees achieve their heights, the snows still the breadth. The squirrels never tucker gathering and planting the treasure, and the birds do their singing and nesting with grace and quirk, as only His birds can.

Turkeys thrive in my parks. I saw chicks pecking the fields and a hen strictly leading them away from my camera.  A gobbler strutted his masculine spectrum in a crosswalk one day, so robust and incongruous, doing exactly what he was meant to do, despite the cars and pavement. Creation flourishes, continually executing what God conceived. The days and seasons unfold seamlessly, fulfilling each moment, purpose and plan.

I can too. I am creation. I have a Creator. I am equipped with everything good. I can reach like a tree, embrace like the snow, gather and sow like the squirrels, sing and nurture like a bird. In His moments, God reveals my burgeoning course. May He work in me what is pleasing in His sight.

Now may the God of peace, who through the blood of the eternal covenant brought back from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great Shepherd of the sheep, equip you with everything good for doing his will, and may he work in us what is pleasing to him, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.            Hebrews 13:20-21
